Sopetrán and San Jerónimo: Santa Fe de Antioquia's neighbors
They share the heat and the Cauca valley. San Jerónimo is on the road from Medellín; Sopetrán, across the river, connects with Santa Fe on the Puente de Occidente side.

San Jerónimo
It is the first warm town after the Túnel de Occidente, so many people drive through without stopping. Between San Jerónimo and Santa Fe there is a stretch of countryside hotels and hosterías; two of the ones we reviewed, Portón del Sol and Arde La Selva, are on that road, on the Santa Fe side.
Sopetrán
It lies east of the Cauca river and borders Santa Fe. It is known for its weekend farms and the valley's fruit growing; on Google, "fincas Sopetrán" and "día de sol Sopetrán" are among the most common searches about the town. Its main square, La Ceiba park, is the heart of local life.

For farms and cabins on the Santa Fe side, see farm stays and cabins; for hosterías along the road, hosterías. And to get there, how to get there from Medellín.
